12 Week Online EMT AT Home

 This 12-week online emt program is a fast paced, Our online emt classes require a computer with internet speeds capable of live video streaming lasting 4 hours. Skills for this class are taught remotely using an online conferencing provider.  When students register, they will receive forms to complete, once they are returned orientation can be scheduled.   The final exam for this class must be attended at hour training center in South Windsor, CT  

 At Home EMT  is an online EMT course that is independent study where students have weekly assignments to complete that are due each week by Saturday of each week.  The skills are taught remotely via online meeting with lab materials that are loaned to the student for the duration of the class, but returned when you come to our training center for the final exam process in South Windsor, CT.  This class basically begins when students register. 

A skill lab box will be loaned to the student that will contain all the needed equipment for learning labs remotely, after orientation but before your first skill. Students are required to attend 32 hours of labs in the format listed below. 

Skill labs are available, first come first served on the following days and times:

Wednesdays: 8am to 12pm

Thursdays: 6pm to 10pm

Sundays: 8am to 12pm

Here is the breakdown of required skill labs for our classes, remember a total of 32 hours must be completed by the end of the class.

4 Week EMT -  2 Four hour labs per week for all 4 weeks

6 Week EMT -  1 four hour labs for the first 4 weeks, then 2 four hour labs in the last 2 weeks of class.

8 Week EMT-  1 four hour labs each week for the entire duration of the class.

12 Week EMT -  Skill labs will be delayed until the 5th week, then students will complete 1 four hour lab per week until their class ends. 

1. Student forms ( Will be sent upon registration and must be completed prior to orientation meeting)
2. Review grading and student expectations  
3. Enroll in the online course
4. Review syllabus and milestones
5. Review course requirements, NIMS, Communications etc.
6. Review the functionality of the program
7. Students will be taught how to coordinate timing for skill labs.

1. A computer for online lectures and assignments
2. An internet speed capable of streaming video content.
3. Watch – digital type or has a second hand. (any watch that must be “woken up” is not acceptable)
4. Small spiral bound notepad

• Online digital access to Jones and Bartlett AAOS EMT 12th Edition
• Digital Copy of AAOS 12th edition EMT text (paper text can be purchased for an additional fee)
• Access to lectures and online activities and assignments
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification
• American Heart Association Blood Borne Pathogens certification
• Blood Pressure cuff and stethoscope
• Access to National Testing preparation program

1. Complete and Pass a State Approved Initial EMT class.
2. Complete and Pass the National Registry EMT cognitive exam.
3. Complete and Pass the National Registry/State Pscyhomotor exam.
4. These National Tests are completed after the EMT class is passed and have separate fees.

Our non-emergency medical services provide transportation for patients who require medical assistance but do not require emergency medical care. Our non-emergency medical transportation services are available for individuals who are unable to travel on their own due to medical conditions or disabilities.
