Out of State Students
If you are an out-of-state student, be sure to check the regulations for your particular state regarding becoming an EMT, whether online classes are accepted in your state, and whether your state accepts the National Registry of EMT reciprocity from CT. CPR Training Professionals does NOT offer refunds or credits for any of our online classes, so be sure you are registering for a class that will meet your goals in your state.
This 4-week accelerated online emt program is an extremely fast paced, Our online EMT Classes require a computer with internet speeds capable of live video streaming lasting 4 hours. Skills for this class are taught in person in our training center in South Windsor. When students register, they will receive forms to complete, once they are returned orientation can be scheduled.
On Demand EMT Class is an online course that is independent study where students have weekly assignments to complete that are due each week by Saturday of every week.
The skills are taught in our training center in South Windsor, CT.
When students register, they will receive forms to complete, once they are returned orientation can be scheduled.
This is independent learning. Students can do coursework at times that are convenient for them, as there is no class meeting time, but all assignments are due by Saturday of each week.
The final exam process for the On Demand courses require the student to complete a final written and final practical exam in our training center in South Windsor, CT . Exams are NOT conducted remotely.
On Demand Skill Labs are completed by attending lab in person with our instructors in our training center in South Windsor. On Demand students will complete their labs in our training center in accordance with the number of labs your course requires ( see below) Our training center is located in South Windsor, CT.
Skill labs are available, first come first served on the following days and times:
- Tuesdays: 8am to 12pm
- Thursdays: 6pm to 10pm
- Sundays: 8am to 12pm
Here is the breakdown of required skill labs for our classes, remember a total of 32 hours must be completed by the end of the class.
- 4 Week EMT – 2 Four hour labs per week for all 4 weeks
- 6 Week EMT – 1 four hour labs for the first 4 weeks, then 2 four hour labs in the last 2 weeks of class.
- 8 Week EMT– 1 four hour labs each week for the entire duration of the class.
- 12 Week EMT – Skill labs will be delayed until the 5th week, then students will complete 1 four hour lab per week until their class ends.
- Student forms ( Will be sent upon registration and must be completed prior to orientation meeting)
- Review grading and student expectations
- Enroll in the online course
- Review syllabus and milestones
- Review course requirements, NIMS, Communications, etc.
- Review the functionality of the program
- Students will be taught how to coordinate timing for skill labs.

- Watch – digital type or one with a second hand (any watch that must be “woken up” is unacceptable).
- Small spiral-bound notepad.
- Black pants and waterproof black shoes.
- Online digital access to Jones and Bartlett AAOS EMT 12th Edition
- Digital Copy of AAOS 12th edition EMT text (paper text can be purchased for an additional fee)
- Access to lectures and online activities and assignments
- American Heart Association BLS CPR certification
- American Heart Association Blood Borne Pathogens certification
- Blood Pressure cuff and stethoscope
- Access to National Testing preparation program
- Complete and Pass a State Approved Initial EMT class.
- Complete and Pass the National Registry EMT cognitive exam.
- Complete and Pass the National Registry/State Pscyhomotor exam.
- These National Tests are completed after the EMT class is passed and have separate fees.
A 50% non-refundable payment was made at the time of registration along with a $50 pay as you go service charge. A valid credit card must be kept on file at all times to keep this program in place, until the balance is paid. The credit card on file will be charged weekly on Wednesdays at 2pm.
If the card on file is declined. The student will be notified immediately.
- A valid form of payment must be made within 48 hours of the card being declined.
- Online account access and skill lab attendance is suspended if the payment is not made within 48 hours of the card being declined.
- If payment is not received within 5 days of the declined payment, a late fee of $40 will be assessed. The past due payment along with the next payment must be paid immediately to qualify to have the account reinstated.
- Students will be dismissed from the program 14 days after the payment declined, if payments have not been made.
- Students can be reinstated between 14 and 21 days by paying the total balance due and a $200 course reactivation and extension fee.
- Payments can be made in person with cash but must be made on Wednesdays NLT 12pm.
Requirements for EMT Students completing Patient Contact requirement for EMT Class
Any student that registers for our EMT classes must complete 10 in person patient contact assessments in the field with a licensed or certified medical provider. This can be on an ambulance, fire department that has an ambulance that provides care and transport, or in an emergency department, NOT in a medical office.
Students must choose between 2 options for this requirement prior to orientation:
Off Site – Students can complete the patient assessment requirement with an organized ambulance service or medical provider of their choosing. The student must inform our clinical coordinator of their intentions and provide the name of the service allowing the student access, as well as the contact information for that service. CPR Training Professionals must approve any location requested by students in order to receive credit for assessments completed. Eligible providers are ambulance services, emergency departments, and fire departments that have an ambulance that responds to medical calls.
Local Provider Option: Students can choose to enroll in the CPR Training Professionals clinical observation program using our ambulance service providers. The ambulance providers for this program are located in the Manchester, CT and the Hartford, CT areas. Students choosing this option will be required to complete 2 – Twelve hour shifts on an ambulance, complete paperwork, sign up with our clinical coordinator, and have an ID.
The decision for these clinical options must be made prior to attending orientation or on the first day of an in-class course. You do not need to have approval for the offsite clinical option before orientation, but you must commit to one of the choices or you will not be allowed to attend orientation.
Students enrolling in any of our In Class courses will be required to complete the local provider option and the process will be explained and started on the first day of class.

- 4 Week EMT – 2 Four hour labs per week for all 4 weeks
- 6 Week EMT – 1 four hour labs for the first 4 weeks, then 2 four hour labs in the last 2 weeks of class.
- 8 Week EMT– 1 four hour labs each week for the entire duration of the class.
- 12 Week EMT – Skill labs will be delayed until the 5th week, then students will complete 1 four hour lab per week until their class ends.

- American Heart Association Blood Borne Pathogens certification
- Blood Pressure cuff and stethoscope
- Access to National Testing preparation program
- Complete and Pass a State Approved Initial EMT class.
- Complete and Pass the National Registry EMT cognitive exam.
- Complete and Pass the National Registry/State Pscyhomotor exam.
- These National Tests are completed after the EMT class is passed and have separate fees.
A 50% non-refundable payment was made at the time of registration along with a $50 pay as you go service charge. A valid credit card must be kept on file at all times to keep this program in place, until the balance is paid. The credit card on file will be charged weekly on Wednesdays at 2pm.
If the card on file is declined. The student will be notified immediately.
- A valid form of payment must be made within 48 hours of the card being declined.
- Online account access and skill lab attendance is suspended if the payment is not made within 48 hours of the card being declined.
- If payment is not received within 5 days of the declined payment, a late fee of $40 will be assessed. The past due payment along with the next payment must be paid immediately to qualify to have the account reinstated.
- Students will be dismissed from the program 14 days after the payment declined, if payments have not been made.
- Students can be reinstated between 14 and 21 days by paying the total balance due and a $200 course reactivation and extension fee.
- Payments can be made in person with cash but must be made on Wednesdays NLT 12pm.
Requirements for EMT Students completing Patient Contact requirement for EMT Class
Any student that registers for our EMT classes must complete 10 in person patient contact assessments in the field with a licensed or certified medical provider. This can be on an ambulance, fire department that has an ambulance that provides care and transport, or in an emergency department, NOT in a medical office.
Students must choose between 2 options for this requirement prior to orientation:
Off Site – Students can complete the patient assessment requirement with an organized ambulance service or medical provider of their choosing. The student must inform our clinical coordinator of their intentions and provide the name of the service allowing the student access, as well as the contact information for that service. CPR Training Professionals must approve any location requested by students in order to receive credit for assessments completed. Eligible providers are ambulance services, emergency departments, and fire departments that have an ambulance that responds to medical calls.
Local Provider Option: Students can choose to enroll in the CPR Training Professionals clinical observation program using our ambulance service providers. The ambulance providers for this program are located in the Manchester, CT and the Hartford, CT areas. Students choosing this option will be required to complete 2 – Twelve hour shifts on an ambulance, complete paperwork, sign up with our clinical coordinator, and have an ID.
The decision for these clinical options must be made prior to attending orientation or on the first day of an in-class course. You do not need to have approval for the offsite clinical option before orientation, but you must commit to one of the choices or you will not be allowed to attend orientation.
Students enrolling in any of our In Class courses will be required to complete the local provider option and the process will be explained and started on the first day of class.
- Any students choosing the off site option must have their clinical contact in place with our clinical coordinator by the second week of their class, or they risk not completing this requirement.
- Any student not completing the clinical observation requirement by the week before their class ends will risk having their course suspended until the requirement is completed.
These requirements must be completed in order for a student to successfully complete the requirements of their EMT class. There will be associated fees to the student if their course needs to be extended to meet this requirement.

Out of State Students
If you are an out-of-state student, be sure to check the regulations for your particular state regarding becoming an EMR, whether online classes are accepted in your state, and whether your state accepts the National Registry of EMR reciprocity from CT. CPR Training Professionals does NOT offer refunds or credits for any of our online classes, so be sure you are registering for a class that will meet your goals in your state.
This 8-week EMR program is an entry level course of over 80 hours that will prepare students for participation in pre-hospital patient care. The EMR course is designed for anyone interested in learning more about the emergency response system and in being a first responder. The EMR is usually the first trained individual who arrives at the scene of an emergency.
When students register, they will receive forms to complete, once they are returned orientation can be scheduled.
On Demand EMT/EMR Class is an online course that is independent study where students have weekly assignments to complete that are due each week by Saturday of every week.
The skills are taught in our training center in South Windsor, CT.

This is independent learning. Students can do coursework at times that are convenient for them, as there is no class meeting time, but all assignments are due by Saturday of each week.
The final exam process for the On Demand courses require the student to complete a final written and final practical exam in our training center in South Windsor, CT. Exams are NOT conducted remotely.
On Demand Skill Labs are completed by attending lab in person with our instructors in our training center in South Windsor. On Demand students will complete their labs in our training center in accordance with the number of labs your course requires ( see below) Our training center is located in South Windsor, CT.
Skill labs are available, first come first served on the following days and times:
- Tuesdays: 8am to 12pm
- Thursdays: 6pm to 10pm
- Sundays: 8am to 12pm
