Out of State Students
If you are an out of state student, be sure to check the regulations for your particular state regarding becoming an EMR if online classes are accepted in your state, and if your state accepts National Registry of EMR reciprocity from CT. CPR Training Professionals does NOT offer refunds or credits for any of our online classes, so be sure that you are registering for a class that will meet your goals in the state you live.

This is a distributive option only. There is NO classroom instruction included with this option.

Purchasing this CAPCE CME product will give access to our library of CAPCE approved distributive courses for your level of certification/license. Just simply register and you will receive an email with a user name and password with direction on how to use the program.

Access to this program is available for up to 30 days after the student is given access to the courses. The program will shut off after 30 days or you complete the hour requirement for your certification level.

Students are responsible for completing their courses and printing the appropriate course completion documents for upload to their NREMR account.

Nationally Registered EMRs (NREMR) are required to renew their certification every two years. NREMRs can recertify by either taking the cognitive examination or by completing continuing education

State of CT EMR Reinstatement

This course is for individuals that have been previously certified by the State of CT as an EMS Provider.  You must demonstrate that you have been previously certified for this course.

Here is what is included in this reinstatement package:

  1.  16 hours of online CAPCE approved CEU with 45 day access
  2.   8 hour skill review/instruction
  3.   Guidance on the reinstatement process

This course is not for initial certification at any level.

Documentation Requirements After You Complete Your Course

A completed EMR reinstatement Application, and in addition applicants must complete the following requirements:

  • Verification of completion of 40 hours of continued education for an EMT or 16 hours for EMR  as required by NREMT. Use the Verification of Continuing Education Form, OR evidence of current NREMT/NREMR Certification (Copy of NREMT card or NREMT number).
  • Official verification of current or expired EMT certification or licensure in another state(s) or territory.   The applicant must complete Section One of the form and forward to the state or territory where they are currently, or have been, certified/licensed in for official verification of licensure/certification.  Section Two is to be completed by the verifying agency.  The completed Verification Form is to be sent directly to the Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) by the verifying agency.  The verifying state or territory must also provide their current license/certification requirements.  Please contact the jurisdiction for completion fee information.  Contact information for states and territories can be found on the NREMT website.
